still snip snip snippin. back in california.
i've been continuing making these 'seam drawings', trying to find the place where vestiges of labor become drawings, and also bridging this dirty blurry line between my wardrobe and materials for sculpture. i have some questions that might be good for me to open up to who ever still reads this...
a) would the drawings be better in black to further extricate them from what they used to be? (like in the bottom bra drawing)
b) how can these things become installation? how can they connect? how can they tell a story (that isn't stupid)?
c) i've been using the pieces that i cut out from the garments and sort of roughly sewing them together and making these extroverted/inside out raw little garments. (the bra ones are pictured below the bra drawing). how can this sort of 'fashion line' of forgotten cut outs become sculpture? my only ideas right now are piling them into a crazy mountain, or maybe making a sort of sale rack with hangers. i don't really know. love to hear thoughts. i miss critiques.

i love them as they are. i like the variation in color. i like them as drawings. you could starch them if you want them to be free standing like ghosts with departed body.
i like em as drawings too, but id really love to seem them in three dimensions somehow. like drawings in space instead of just on a wall. Maybe by suspension, some sort of fabricated or actual body, they could track movement? Geometry of fashion? Record of space and volumes? i dunno my heads here right now...
