Recent Figure Paintings

(This one's about life-size)

New to this, but wanted to share some work. These are all oil paintings on various surfaces (board, wood, linen, canvas, cardboard). I think they are largely about the relationship of the two figures, internal/external dialogue, and youth. They question the objectification of the figure/place, and in a way advocate it. Might post some more pictures later this month, working on a performance piece.

alex,

these are quite lovely paintings with a real sense of your touch. i am really excited to see them. besides what you mentioned about the two figure relationship, you are also playing with differences in flat and atmospheric space in each one. I would love to see you push your color in them. The last one and the one with the house are particularly beautiful.
