dovekins

my old long graduated wesie friend laura goldhamer came through santa cruz to perform with her band dovekins from denver, co. they were so good and cute too. check out their music, it reminded me a bit of the dirty projectors newer stuff; not too predictable, full and beautiful, with banjo, stand up bass, accordion, flute, everything you could ask for.

as for other updates from the central coast of california-- parents out of town, becky and i making kraut and oatmeal, trying to figure out what to do with the foxtail stuck up our dogs nose. he wont stop sneezing.
playing more piano than usual but not making that many things. last night i made some beaded bracelets. i might go to celia's birthday tomorrow in berkeley.

got a new bike, been fixing it up and riding it a lot. farmer's market socializing. mostly just being a beach babe. yesterday my friend asked me if i was wearing a "tan suit." i miss u guys though this blog is gonna be bitchin.
